ORCA - The AI that builds AI

The Problem.

Certain parts of industrial machines break down at some point, causing production to stop and resulting in a loss of time and money. Industry 4.0 has therefore developed predictive maintenance with the help of the internet. The state of the machines can be visualized using cyber-physical modelling. However, there is no standardized tool that can provide you with neural networks to extract information from signals derived from these machines. You must inform yourself about neural networks and how to deploy them in your automation chain. In the end, many companies program neural networks by hand, and these networks are similar across industries.

What is ORCA?

ORCA is a large language model (LLM), similar to ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude and DeepSeek. You write prompt, but instead of answering with text, ORCA creates a graph consisting of parameters for neural networks. This graph can then be used by our backend which involves a pool of pretrained neural networks for specific applications. Ultimately, you will receive a neural network specifically developed for your use case and you can use it in your automation environment, for example. We are also searching for other industries where this technology can be used.

GROW

GROW is Germany’s largest student founding contest. It takes place in Karlsruhe in collaboration with the KIT university. Within 11 weeks students are able to build a startup assisted with workshops to gain experience in ideation, founding principles and networking.

I joined GROW after participating in the KIT Gründerschmiede idea contest, in which I achieved seventh place. On the KIT Gründerschmiede Website, you can see my video.

On a networking event I got in contact with two team members and now we’re working together to make the idea reality.

First Steps

We started with a market research, creating a business model, and finding alternatives to the solution. We still believe it’s a revolutionary idea, but first, we want to hear from our customers and partners about the problems they face. To begin, we would like to specialize in the field of predictive maintenance, but in the future we intend to broaden our scope to more industries. If you are interested in cooperating with an external AI service company, feel free to reach out! We will tailor our neural networks to your needs.
